I went the medical route and they could find nothing wrong with me aside from the incurable yeast infections. The never ending infection led me to the Candida diagnosis (self diagnosis) and my other symptoms matched very closely. There are lots of diagnosis questionaires online. There are so many and varied symptoms because the overgrowth is caused by a weakened immune system so lots of things can go wrong.

Hannah, hmmm combating anger. I usually get uncontollably angry when I am hungry or am having a blood sugar dip which happens after I eat too many carbs. Eating more protein and less carbs was helpful for me. Having high protein snacks around instead of carby snacks is the key to success. Some ideas are cubed hard cheeses, beef jerky, nuts (some are lower carb than others), hard boiled eggs...you get the idea. You could also humm a hymn but in the midst of chaos taking a break to eat something can be a good escape in itself.Carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04960353856203224157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7355154204673280534.post-82508973055754716162010-11-11T23:32:19.038-05:002010-11-11T23:32:19.038-05:00Glad to hear and way to stick with it!!! I don't have many of your symptoms but extreme irritability is on my list. My poor kids and husband! I am not sure how to control my anger. Any suggestions?Hannah Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09813612560660654932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7355154204673280534.post-69194097506538454352010-11-11T18:39:01.880-05:002010-11-11T18:39:01.880-05:00It sounds like it was brutal. Seems like an awful time to start, though, with the holidays...but in a way that's good--you won't be gorging on all that sugar-laden food!

I'm glad you talked about what you ARE eating. When I have to change my diet, I find it's much better to focus on what I CAN eat, instead of what I can't.

Oh, and I totally let myself gorge on Halloween candy, and it was awful. Cheap candy does NOT satisfy the way quality dark chocolate does. I was feeling rather toxic and drinking herbal tea every day to help wash it out.Lisa Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00110779167509779880noreply@blogger.com
